Chip Kidd Website

Conversations with Woody Allen A Wolf at the Table

The website bookcoverarchive.com/Chip_Kidd has an amazing assortment of covers designed by Chip Kidd. The interesting thing is that they are all so different. This shows his awesome talent at diversifying his design skills, in addition to the fact that he is an art director, designer, illustrator, and photographer. My favorites are "A Wolf at the Table"by Augusten Burroughs and "Conversations with Woody Allen." I like "A Wolf at the Table" because the bent red fork seems so sinister and you can tell it's going to have a lot of evil themes in it. It also hints strongly at the devil and Red Riding Hood. I like "Conversations with Woody Allen" because the picture is so candid and the type seems random, but it does a good job of framing the photograph.
Which are your favorite covers and why?
Cheers,
Kristi
