The most obvious trope I noticed while researching Sci-Fi
books is anything to do with outerspace—the universe, planets, the moon, etc. A good example of this would be the
Ender’s Game series (see below). There’s also a trend of vehicles flying through space and
they’re typically at war (with aliens likely). Images of futuristic technology in general are pretty common as well. I also noticed the use of bright colors – red, yellow, blue, green, with green and red
being the most commonly used. There are a ton of Star Trek covers, so check out this site for more of those particular examples.
