Shannon -- The tile is good and appropriate. I think the shapes and colors are good and give the Spanish/Columbian feel. The handwriting in red is super, and the smear is good. I think it's key that you make it convincing that the handwriting is on the wall, and you know that and can do it, I'm sure. There's something about the author's name that doesn't seem quite right. Maybe if it's over the blue tiles instead of the light colored grout. You've almost got it.
Rachel -- I dig the spot in the last word. Type looks good. I would want all of the type to just bleed off the edge, not way off but just off, not almost at the edge like it is now, on all sides. I would like to see the leopard's front legs on top of the letter O so it's like he's standing on the type, not walking on thin air. Suggest taking out the colon after the word by. This has come together well.
