Faux Book Design

I don't think the covers look very attractive. I think the idea here is interesting, but instead of making a fake set of book covers, why not actually try to write this series and then make book covers for it? Maybe the author plans to write the series later on. Otherwise the idea kind of falls flat. The only cover I really like is the "Never Alone" idea because it's an interesting concept. The other covers mostly look like simple shapes made on In Design. All this being said, kudos to the designer for trying something different.
